Interactive dashboards created during University of Washington Data Visualization Certificate program.
Quarter 1 Final Project: Construct interactive dashboard on topic of choice.
My goal: Develop timely dashboard that has emotional impact.
Researched data to see what was available. Made lo-fi prototypes of dashboard to determine layout before beginning. Pulled data from The Evacuated People: A Quantitative Description and reformatted in Excel. Designed final dashboard in Tableau using creative methods to achieve desired look.
Dashboard won Viz of the Day on Tableau Public, as well as Honorable Mention in Tableau Student Data Viz Contest (top 6 out of over 200 entries). Dashboard also in Tableau Public Featured Gallery.

Certificate Program Final Project: Design interactive dashboard on topic of choice.
My goal: Focus on something near to heart: wildlife conservation.
Scoured web to determine which specific wildlife conservation topic had sufficient available data. Although not as much data as desired, was able to find enough between IUCN Red List and Panthera to tell a compelling and educational story on big cats. First created lo-fi prototypes and then designed final dashboard in Tableau. Also created reformatted, abridged mobile version.
